Baby Eye Color Calculator
Pick mom's and dad's eye colors to see your baby's likely eye color — just for fun.
Just for fun. Eye color is shaped by 16+ genes, so this simplified estimate can't predict your baby's real eye color — and intermediate shades like hazel are especially hard to call from the parents' colors alone. A baby's eyes also often keep changing through the first year. Not medical or genetic advice.
How it works
Brown eyes are usually dominant and blue eyes recessive, so this calculator uses a classic, simplified inheritance chart based on both parents' eye colors. Because real eye color depends on many genes (mainly OCA2 and HERC2), two brown-eyed parents can still have a blue-eyed baby. Hazel — a brown-green-gold mix from melanin spread unevenly across the iris — is especially hard to predict from the parents' colors alone. Treat the percentages as a fun estimate, not a certainty.
