Fetal development
- Most vernix and lanugo have shed.
- Most fetuses are head-down; breech presentation should be discussed with your OB.
- Weight is roughly 2.5–3kg.
Maternal changes
- Breathing eases as the head settles into the pelvis.
- Urination becomes even more frequent.
Recommended checkups
- Group B Strep (GBS) screening — determines whether antibiotics are needed during labor.
