Fetal development

- Webbed hands and feet form (digits will separate later).
- The brain grows rapidly.
Maternal changes
- Nausea may last most of the day.
- A growing uterus can cause mild abdominal pressure.
Recommended checkups
- Severe vomiting with weight loss may indicate hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) — call your OB if you cannot keep fluids down.
